2026 BUTTON DESIGN CONTEST
The Coon Rapids Snowflake Association is excited again this year to invite all students grades 5 through 12 in the Coon Rapids elementary schools, middle schools and high school to participate in the 2026 Coon Rapids Snowflake Days Button Design Contest! Two (2) button designs will be chosen!
Prizes will be awarded for 1st Place = $100, 2nd Place = $75
All entries must meet the criteria listed below, and must be submitted by Friday, January 9th, 2026.

All entries must meet the criteria listed below, and must be submitted by Friday, January 9th, 2026.
Button Design criteria:
- Button design must be round.
- Maximum 3 colors not including background which will be white
- Design must be done "free hand", no computer generated images allowed.
- Date of the celebration must be on the button (January 30-February 8, 2026)
- “Coon Rapids Snowflake Days” must be on the button
- Suggested design elements are: winter activities in Coon Rapids such as hockey, ice skating, sledding, disc golf, etc. The City Mascot Rocky the Raccoon MUST be included in the design.
- Designs must be submitted on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of white paper with the design in color using the template provided (template available at Snowflake Days button below).
- The students first and last name, school, grade, parent’s name, and home/parent phone number must be included with entry.
- Open to 5th thru 12th grade Coon Rapids schools students only
- Winning button designs will be announced and unveiled at the Coon Rapids City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 20th, 2026.
- All entries become property of the Coon Rapids Snowflake Association
